Stainless steel blind rivets are permanent mechanical fasteners designed for joining sheet materials where access is available from only one side of the assembly. A blind rivet consists of a rivet body and a mandrel; during installation, the mandrel is pulled using a rivet tool to deform the rivet body and create a secure fastening joint. Stainless steel blind rivets are widely used in structural sheet metal assemblies where corrosion resistance, vibration resistance, and efficient installation are required.

ZSD Screw manufactures stainless steel blind rivets using controlled cold forming and precision assembly processes to ensure consistent dimensional accuracy and stable installation performance. Production follows internationally recognized dimensional standards such as DIN 7337 and ISO 15983. Stainless steel material performance is produced in accordance with ISO 3506 where applicable for stainless fastening components. Quality control processes include dimensional inspection, mandrel retention verification, and batch traceability to ensure consistent fastening reliability.

Standard blind rivet sizes are manufactured according to DIN and ISO specifications. Custom head types, grip ranges, and special designs can be produced according to customer drawings or project requirements.

Type: Blind Rivet
Head Type: Dome Head / Countersunk Head / Large Flange Head
Diameter Range: 3.2 mm – 6.4 mm
Length Range: According to grip range requirements
Standard: DIN 7337 / ISO 15983
Tolerance: According to standard specifications or customer drawings.

Materials Available: Stainless Steel 304 (A2)、Stainless Steel 316 / 316L (A4). Other corrosion-resistant stainless steel materials can be supplied upon request depending on service environment requirements.

Strength Grades: Stainless steel blind rivets do not use conventional bolt strength classes. Material performance is typically defined by the stainless steel grade and manufacturing process. Stainless rivet materials generally correspond to stainless fastener classifications referenced in ISO 3506 such as A2 and A4 material groups. For comparison within threaded fastening systems, carbon steel fasteners commonly use strength grades 4.8、8.8、10.9、12.9、14.9 according to ISO 898-1. ZSD Screw maintains controlled forming processes and inspection procedures to ensure stable rivet body deformation and reliable joint performance.

Surface Treatment: Stainless steel blind rivets typically rely on the inherent corrosion resistance of stainless alloys. Depending on application requirements, the following surface finishing processes may be applied: Passivation treatment、Electropolishing、Cleaning and protective oil treatment. Additional surface finishing or special treatments can be arranged according to environmental conditions or customer specifications.

Applications: In mechanical equipment manufacturing, stainless steel blind rivets are widely used for joining sheet metal panels, equipment housings, structural covers, ventilation panels, and machine enclosures. Blind riveting allows fast and reliable assembly where only one side of the workpiece is accessible, supporting efficient manufacturing processes.

In electronic equipment and industrial electronics, stainless steel blind rivets are commonly used for assembling control cabinets, industrial enclosures, electrical panel structures, mounting brackets, and ventilation covers. Their corrosion resistance and vibration-resistant joints help maintain structural stability in electronic and automation equipment.

In the new energy sector, stainless steel blind rivets are widely used in photovoltaic equipment housings, solar mounting components, inverter cabinets, battery enclosure panels, and energy storage system structures. Stainless materials provide corrosion resistance and long-term durability in outdoor installations exposed to moisture and temperature variation.

In conventional and renewable power generation facilities, blind rivets are applied in turbine housing panels, generator covers, cable management structures, control cabinets, and auxiliary equipment enclosures. Their reliable mechanical fastening performance helps maintain structural stability in power generation environments.

In the automotive and transportation industries, stainless steel blind rivets are commonly used in vehicle body panels, interior structural assemblies, exhaust heat shields, ventilation ducts, and lightweight structural components. Riveting enables fast installation and consistent fastening quality during manufacturing processes.

In heavy industry and engineering equipment manufacturing, stainless steel blind rivets are widely applied in industrial enclosures, structural sheet assemblies, marine equipment housings, and processing equipment panels. Their corrosion resistance and permanent mechanical fastening performance support long-term durability in demanding industrial environments.

304-A2:  Moderate work hardening rate, suitable for general cold working and deep drawing processes. It has good cold workability and is widely used in the production of hexagon screws, nuts and washers.

316-A4: Added with molybdenum, it has stronger corrosion resistance than 304. It is especially suitable for applications in seawater and chemical media, with enhanced corrosion resistance and pitting resistance.

Notes:1. If the nickel content is lower than 8%, the minimum manganese content must be 5%.
2. When the nickel content is greater than 8%, there is no limit on the minimum copper content.
3. If the chromium content is lower than 17%, the minimum nickel content shall be 12%.
4. For austenitic stainless steel with a maximum carbon content of 0.03%, the maximum nitrogen content can reach 0.22%.
5. For products with larger diameters, to meet the specified mechanical properties, a higher carbon content may be specified in the manufacturer’s instructions; however, for martensitic steel, the carbon content shall not exceed 0.12%.
